Cross County Warrant Searches
The Cross County Sheriff Warrants page gives the best public first look at outstanding warrants. Type a first or last name. Date views, sort controls, Show All, and page links carry you through the results. The form skips birth date and warrant number. Gather the legal name, spelling variants, likely court, citation or case number, and date of birth before you start. The web form cannot use those extras. They still help a Cross County sheriff or clerk separate similar names when you call. A complete warrant check works every route, because Arkansas offers no public statewide ACIC or NCIC warrant search and Search ARCourts gives public case and docket information without promising current warrant status. Follow this order:
- Accept the sheriff disclaimer and search a first or last name.
- Review age, date, and charge text only as matching clues.
- Call the sheriff at 870-238-5700 for the issuing court, bond, charges, date, and status.
- Check the issuing district department or the Cross County Circuit Clerk, then review Search ARCourts.
- Send a specific FOIA request to the office that created the needed record.
Cross County Sheriff Search Controls
The sheriff interface stays narrow by design. The official warrant-search screen shows how a visitor enters the Cross County list and pages through results, a lead rather than a certified warrant packet.

The visible controls can locate a possible entry. They cannot confirm identity, bond, court, or whether a recent recall has reached the Cross County list, so date the search and save details for a follow-up call. Do not copy or republish personal entries.
What a Warrant Search Asks For
Cross County's public search is no detailed court form. It has no published wildcard rule, minimum character count, date-of-birth filter, court selector, or status menu. The official interface offers just these controls.
| Field or control | Type | Required | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Accept to Continue | Button | Yes | Passes the public-list disclaimer |
| Name / Date | Navigation | No | Changes the list view |
| Newest / Oldest | Sort links | No | Orders entries by warrant date |
| First OR last name | Text | No | Searches either name part |
| Show All | Control | No | Restores the visible list |
| Page / Next / Last | Links | No | Moves through changing results |
Note: A common name should be confirmed by phone with additional identifiers before anyone acts on the web result.
Cross County Case Search Layer
Search ARCourts adds a court-file layer. Case Search takes a case or citation number, date range, case type, docket code, county, and court location. Participants Search works differently. It uses first, middle, and last names or an organization description. Public results may list a warrant. They can also show a summons, hearing, continuance, judgment, dismissal, or sentence, and the official Search ARCourts screen lays out these public participant and case controls without becoming a Cross County warrant database.

A docket event identifies the case and court. It may not prove a Cross County warrant is still active today. Use it to plan a focused call to the sheriff, Wynne, Parkin, Cherry Valley, or the Circuit Clerk. A Hickory Ridge district matter routes to Wynne.
Cross County Warrant Search Results
The public sheriff result is thin. It shows fewer fields than a court file. No warrant number format appears there, so Cross County marks the blank not displayed instead of inviting a guess.
| Name and age | Visible matching clues, not full identity proof. |
|---|---|
| Warrant date | Shown when present; confirm the date by phone. |
| Charges | May show an offense, FAILURE TO APPEAR, or FAILURE TO PAY FINE. |
| Warrant or case number | Not exposed in the inspected public list. |
| Issuing court | Not displayed; the sheriff FAQ says staff can provide it. |
| Bond | Not displayed; ask whether cash, surety, or No Bond applies. |
| Current status | No active, recalled, or served field appears. |
The court file can add more. When public, it holds the case or citation number, judge, return of service, bond conditions, recall order, and next date.
When Cross County Results Are Silent
A blank name search proves nothing. It does not rule out a warrant. A new event may not have reached the web list yet, a Cross County district department may hold the underlying file, and sealed, juvenile, and active-investigation material can stay unavailable. Restricted ACIC and NCIC information cannot be obtained by the public, even through FOIA.
Use the fallback chain: call the sheriff, identify and call the issuing court, check Search ARCourts, and contact the Circuit Clerk for circuit criminal matters.
For Wynne or Hickory Ridge district matters, call 870-238-9171. Parkin's department is 870-755-5491. Cherry Valley's city and court contact is 870-588-3323, and the Circuit Clerk can help a citizen work through a Cross County circuit file at 870-238-5720. Clerk staff cannot search for the caller or give legal advice.
Cross County Warrants: Who Holds What
The sheriff publishes the countywide first-look list, maintains many Circuit Court warrants, and confirms operational details. That work is divided by role. The Warrant Coordinator researches Circuit Court cases and handles the failure-to-pay-fine docket. Felony arrest warrants sit with the Civil Process Coordinator. Patrol deputies serve them. Those divided jobs explain why a Cross County sheriff call often supplies facts missing from the web entry. The 25th Judicial District Court handles traffic, misdemeanors, ordinances, and preliminary felony matters through Wynne, Cherry Valley, and Parkin departments. Hickory Ridge matters are filed and heard in Wynne. The Circuit Court of the First Judicial Circuit handles felony and other general-jurisdiction matters, with criminal files kept by the Cross County Circuit Clerk in Room 9. The County & Probate Clerk does not keep those criminal files.
Cross County FOIA Record Requests
Need a copy of an actual record, not just a quick status answer? A written FOIA request is the tool. Cross County asks you to send it to the office that recorded the information. The county FOIA instructions and form spell out what belongs in it. Describe the record specifically. Certify that you are an Arkansas citizen, add contact details, pick a reply method, and choose whether you want a fee notice first. The form prints a copy charge of $0.50 per sheet. It also lets records go out without advance notice unless fees exceed $50, if you select that choice. One caution: the printed County Judge recipient may be stale, so verify the current custodian and address before filing. Send your ask to the right office. The sheriff holds sheriff warrant records, the district clerk keeps that court's file, and the Circuit Clerk holds a circuit criminal record. FOIA still cannot open ACIC, NCIC, sealed, juvenile, or exempt investigation material.
Which Warrants Stay Restricted
Arkansas citizens can inspect public records under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act of 1967. Exemptions still apply. Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-105 allows a sufficiently specific request through approved channels. Its law-enforcement-investigation and court-order exceptions can shield an unserved, sealed, or investigative warrant in Cross County. Ark. Code Ann. § 9-27-309 covers juvenile confidentiality.
Access limits: A sealed order does not appear merely because a name was searched. Juvenile records may be closed. Active investigative material may be withheld. ACIC and NCIC remain restricted criminal-justice systems.
Use the official Arkansas law search for the current code text. That settles the law, not the warrant. Public access and current warrant confirmation are separate questions. A Cross County court may open a docket for inspection while the sheriff remains the source for service and bond details.
Confirm Cross County Warrant Details
When a likely match turns up, call 870-238-5700. Ask for the warrant date, the charge, the issuing court, the bond, and the present status. Find out if it is No Bond. Ask where the person should report. Checking on yourself? Ask whether counsel may arrange a walk-through or whether the court requires a new setting. The Cross County sheriff recognizes voluntary surrender but publishes no fixed surrender window, ID checklist, or after-hours intake rule.
